About Khouzestan Province
Shushtar is an ancient fortress city, approximately 92 kilometres (57 mi) away from Ahvaz, the centre of the province.
Shushtar city waterfalls are one of the amazing tourist attractions. The water of these waterfalls, instead of flowing from the top of the mountain, boils from under the earth. These waterfalls are one of the symbols of the thousand-year-old civilization in Khuzestan province.
Chogha Zanbil is an ancient Elamite complex in the Khuzestan province of Iran. It is one of the few existing ziggurats outside Mesopotamia. It lies approximately 30 km southeast of Susa and 80 km north of Ahvaz.
